TAG Racing heads to the legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit this weekend for round five of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, aiming to build on the positives shown at Snetterton as the team continues its campaign across the Superbike and National Superstock classes.
One of the most demanding and rewarding circuits on the calendar, the 2.43-mile Brands Hatch GP layout combines high-speed commitment with technical precision, providing a true test for both rider and machine. With its flowing nature and dramatic elevation changes, the Kent venue has long been regarded as one of the highlights of the British Superbike Championship calendar. The event marks the fifth round of the 2026 season, following the team’s solid points haul at Snetterton earlier this month.
Charlie Nesbitt will also be eager to bounce back after his Snetterton weekend ended prematurely following a race incident, with the talented youngster keen to make amends at one of Britain’s most famous circuits. Fraser Rogers arrives at Brands Hatch determined to convert the pace shown throughout the opening rounds into stronger results after overcoming technical issues last time out.
In the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, Matt Truelove heads into the weekend looking to continue his consistent run of performances after another top-ten finish strengthened his championship challenge. Team mate Jaimie Van Sikkelerus is hoping for a more comfortable weekend as he continues his recovery, and is hoping to collect more vital Championship points.
Charlie Nesbitt: “Snetterton wasn’t the weekend we wanted, but that’s racing sometimes. The important thing is to move on quickly. Brands Hatch is always a special place to race and everyone in the team is motivated to come back stronger. We’ll focus on getting into a good rhythm from the first session and hopefully be fighting at the sharp end by the races.
“I’ve recovered well from the crash, although I’m still feeling a little bit of pain with my wrist, I’m confident we can be in the battle this weekend and I’ll be doing all I can to ensure that happens.”
Fraser Rogers: “Brands is always one of the circuits you look forward to. It’s a proper riders’ track and somewhere I’ve always enjoyed racing. We showed at Snetterton that we’ve got good pace despite the problems we faced, so hopefully we can put a complete weekend together. If we can qualify well and stay with the front group early in the races, I’m confident we can challenge for some strong results.”
Matt Truelove: “We’ve been building momentum every round and the bike has been working well. Brands Hatch GP is one of my favourite circuits and it’s a place where confidence makes a big difference. The aim is to keep progressing, qualify towards the front and fight for the positions we know we’re capable of. It’s a long season and every point counts.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: ”The Last races were not where we need to be, partly due to my right leg which has a bad function, but I will organise an operation soon to remove a screw which gives this problem in the knee, tendon and nerves. At Brands Hatch we need to fight one more time with this situation, but I will give it my all of course on this great track and with this great team.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “Brands Hatch GP is one of the benchmark circuits of the championship and it’s always a weekend everyone looks forward to. We learned a lot at Snetterton despite the setbacks, and the team has worked hard to ensure we’re in the best possible position this weekend. Hopefully we can put everything together and come away with the results our performances deserve.”
Track action begins on Friday with free practice before qualifying, and the opening races take place on Saturday and continue on Sunday.
