Swadlincote-based TAG Racing are prepared to do battle at the upcoming round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, where Fraser Rogers and Charlie Nesbitt are aiming to improve their fortunes, while Matt Truelove looks to close in on the Superstock Championship lead and Jaimie Van Sikkelerus targets a top-10 finish.
The Oulton Park International circuit is one of the most iconic venues on the British calendar and presents a unique challenge with its fast, flowing nature, dramatic elevation changes, and unforgiving parkland setting. Measuring 2.692 miles and featuring 17 corners, the circuit is widely regarded as one of the ultimate tests of rider confidence and machine setup.
Fraser Rogers arrives at Oulton Park aiming to turn the tables on what has been a challenging opening five rounds and secure a strong haul of championship points in the Superbike class. Team-mate Charlie Nesbitt, who is back to full fitness after a niggling hand injury, is eager to bounce back with a strong performance and make the most of the opportunities that Oulton Park can provide.
In the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, Matt Truelove is targeting another consistent performance as he looks to continue climbing the standings and cut the small points gap to series leader David Allingham. Jaimie Van Sikkelerus heads into the weekend encouraged by continued improvements and, following successful surgery on his leg to remove a screw from his knee, is hoping to take another step forward on familiar Cheshire tarmac.
Charlie Nesbitt: “Heading into this weekend, I feel back to full fitness after my injury at Snetterton. Brands Hatch, I must admit, was tough — tougher than I thought — so the extra time to heal has treated me well, and I’m excited to get back on the bike this weekend. It’s fair to say this year hasn’t gone to plan yet, but we’ve refocused, reset our goals, and are ready to attack the second half of the championship. It’s important that I bring home three solid results this weekend, and that is what I have set my sights on.”
Fraser Rogers: “I’m ready to race again this weekend at Oulton Park. We’ve raced well here in the past, we have good data to work from, and I’m hopeful we can put together three good races across the weekend. 2026 has been a real struggle for me and the team, but no matter what happens, we stick together. This weekend marks the start of the second half of the season, and I’m confident we can put together a strong finish to our campaign from here.”
Matt Truelove: “I’m ready to return to action this weekend. We’ve had a few below-par rounds recently, and that can’t continue if we want to challenge for the title. We’re not too far away in terms of points, and this weekend we can certainly close down that gap. We’ve shown good speed at Oulton in the past, and I’m sure that will continue this weekend. The aim for me is to get back on the podium, and if the win is in sight, I’ll definitely be going for it.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “After a difficult race weekend at Brands Hatch, with some technical frustrations, we’ve reset as a team and are looking ahead to Oulton Park with renewed enthusiasm.
“The problematic screw has now been removed from my knee following successful surgery, and I’m hoping to show improvement from now on and for the remainder of the season.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “We’ve experienced a few challenging rounds recently, and as a team we’re determined to improve our fortunes this weekend at Oulton Park. Our first visit here in May was tough, but we gathered some solid data, and it stands us in good stead as we head back there. The undulating nature of Oulton Park does make it a challenge for us, but we’re focused on ensuring we have a strong weekend for all four riders.”
The team will take to the track on Friday, July 31, for free practice, with qualifying and races taking place on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2.
