Following a frantic but fantastic previous ten rounds, where the Swadlincote based TAG Racing Honda team have enjoyed podium success in both the Superbike and Superstock classes, the Bennetts BSB Championship heads to Brands Hatch for the final time in 2025, with the squad aiming to round the season off in style.
Six races stand before the team across the weekend, with three Superbike and three Superstock battles to determine where Fraser, Jaimie, Matt and Shaun will finish in their respective Championship standings.
Rogers has enjoyed his best season in the Superbike class to date, achieving his maiden podium and front row, and heads to Brands Hatch full of confidence following the announcement that he will remain with the Winfield team for 2026. 105 points are left to play for at Brands Hatch and he has the chance to leapfrog into the top ten of the standings, with his sights firmly set on bringing home the goods come Sunday evening.
Jaimie heads to the ‘Garden of England’ looking to increase his current points haul, and break into the top twenty of the standings. The Dutchman continues to battle an injury he sustained mid-season but he isn’t letting that affect him, as he looks to finish his year in style.
With three races across the weekend for the first time in 2025 for the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, following the postponement of the final race at Oulton Park, both Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield are looking to finish 2025 in emphatic fashion.
With 105 points left to fight for, mathematically Truelove can secure second in the series and team mate Winfield can grab seventh, and the team will be doing all they can to ensure both riders will be in the fight during the final three races on Saturday and Sunday.
The 2.4-mile Brands Hatch circuit sits in the heart of the Kent countryside, and is the spiritual home of the Bennetts BSB Championship. It’s natural amphitheatre is the perfect host for the final round of the series, which has historically produced some of the closest finishes that the Championship has ever seen.
Fraser Rogers: “I’m looking forward to this weekend at Brands Hatch, it’s a circuit we went well at in the middle of the year and after the progress we have made since then with the bike I’m looking forward to seeing how we get on. I’ve enjoyed being in the fight at the front in recent rounds, and I want to continue that as much as we can at Brands Hatch.
“I’d like to round out the year out on a high for the team, they’ve given their all this year and I can’t thank them enough for that.”
Jaimie Van Sikklelerus: “It’s hard to believe it’s already time for our last round of the season. I’m excited to give it one more go at the beautiful Brands Hatch circuit. It’s frustrating that I still can’t train my arm and upper body because of the issue I’m dealing with, but I’ll give it my all and hope to improve my lap times compared to our last outing here.”
Matt Truelove: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend, especially with us having three bites of the cherry following the postponement at Oulton Park. It’s a big weekend for me, I can still secure second in the Championship which is obviously the aim and what we as a team are focussed on. It’s not going to be easy, I know we’re going to be in a fight for it and I’m up for that. We’ll hit the ground running from FP1, get our heads down, work hard and hopefully come Sunday afternoon that will pay off for us.
“But whatever happens, I’ve really enjoyed myself again with the TAG Racing Honda squad this year, they’ve had my back all season long and I want to repay them once again with silverware this weekend.”
Shaun Winfield: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend at Brands Hatch and I’m aiming to round out 2025 on a high. There is still plenty to play for, especially with three races and an increased amount of points to fight for. I love racing at Brands, it’s a special circuit and the atmosphere at the final round makes it exciting to be a part of.
“I want to give myself, and the team, something to celebrate come Sunday afternoon, they’ve put everything into me once again this season and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “2025 has been a year to remember for us, we’ve had our fair share of success and we want that to continue that this weekend. Brands Hatch is a circuit that suits the Honda and back in the summer during our previous visit there we performed well, so we’re hopeful that continues this weekend.
“There’s so much to play for at the final round, Fraser can elevate himself in the Championship, Matt can secure second place in the Superstock class, and Shaun and Jaimie are looking to round their seasons off on a high, so as a team we’re heading down to Kent full of confidence and ready to be in the fight.”
