Swadlincote-based TAG Racing are set for a return to their home circuit, Donington Park, this weekend (October 2/3/4) for the penultimate round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship.
TAG Racing Honda is preparing for one of the most eagerly anticipated weekends of its 2026 campaign, as the team returns to its home circuit of Donington Park for the penultimate round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship on October 2–4.
Following a challenging but ultimately positive weekend at the TT Circuit Assen, the team will once again line up with Fraser Rogers and Scott Swann aboard their Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblades, with both riders looking to build on the progress made during the previous round.
The return to Donington Park carries extra significance for TAG Racing, with the team based in nearby Swadlincote where they enjoy strong support from local fans and partners whenever the championship visits the Leicestershire circuit.
Rogers heads into the weekend determined to convert the progress made at Assen into a strong result on home soil. The 30-year-old showed encouraging pace in the Netherlands, progressing through the weekend despite difficult and changeable conditions and securing points in the shortened Sunday race.
Scott Swann will also be back in TAG Racing Honda colours after his impressive debut with the team at Assen. The Northern Irishman quickly adapted to the Fireblade, scoring points in both Sunday races and finishing 15th in the final encounter. Following the positive first weekend together, TAG Racing has confirmed that Swann will remain with the team for the final two rounds of the 2026 championship.
Matt Truelove and Jaimie Van Sikkelerus will also be in action, as the Pirelli National Superstock Championship returns to action. Truelove, who unfortunately missed out at the previous round at Caldwell Park following a crash in the first free practice session, which caused an injury to his left shoulder, is back in action and raring to go.
The Lincolnshire man enjoyed a positive visit to the Grand Prix circuit back in May, taking the podium, and this weekend he’ll be aiming for more of the same and he throws his leg over the teams 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S, which he will be contesting for the final two rounds in preparation for next season.
Van Sikkelerus, heads to Donington Park in high spirits by virtue of his double victory in the Benelux Trophy at his home round at Assen just two weeks ago. The Dutchman will be back onboard his 2026 Honda Fireblade as he looks to add to Championship points tally with two races scheduled across the weekend.
Fraser Rogers: “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Donington. It’s our home round and there’s always a great atmosphere around the circuit, so it’s a weekend I really enjoy.
“Assen was a tricky weekend, but I felt really good on the bike on Sunday and it was frustrating to have the technical issue because I felt we could have had a strong result.
“The team has been working incredibly hard and we’re heading in the right direction. We know where we need to improve, so hopefully we can put everything together at Donington and give the team and all our supporters something to celebrate.”
Scott Swann: “I’m honestly delighted to be staying with TAG Racing for the final two rounds and I’m really looking forward to Donington.
“Assen was a fantastic experience for me. I was nervous going into the weekend because everything was new, but the whole team made me feel at home straight away. We improved the bike throughout the weekend and I was really happy with the progress we made.
“Now I have that first weekend under my belt, I’m excited to see what we can do at Donington. It’s another new experience for me with the team, but I’m going into it with a lot more confidence and I just want to keep improving and enjoying myself.”
Matt Truelove: “It’s a great feeling to be back, it’s felt a long time since Cadwell Park, especially for myself after what happened. However, I’m feeling strong and ready to give it a go this weekend after a lot of physio and work behind the scenes.
“I’m very excited to get out on the Ducati Panigale V4 S, Jaimie showed the potential of the bike at Assen and I’m eager to see for myself just what the bike can do. It’ll be the bike I race in 2027 so it’s get to be able to get out on the bike in the final two rounds of the season in order to get a head start on development.
“I’m putting no pressure on anything this weekend, it’s a learning weekend for us all with the new bike, however, hopefully we can be running up the sharp end if my fitness is in a good place.
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend at Donington Park, it’s normally one of my best tracks on the calendar and I’m excited to get back to action after the positive weekend we had at Assen. It’s important I work hard, give the team honest feedback and start the weekend strong. I’m feeling good, I’m ready to go and I hope we can achieve some good results.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “Donington is always a special weekend for us as a team. It’s our home round, so there’s always a huge amount of support from our partners, sponsors, friends, family and fans.
“Assen gave us plenty of positives to take forward. Fraser showed some strong pace and was unfortunate with the technical issue in the final race, while Scott settled into the team incredibly quickly and produced a really encouraging debut.
“Having Scott remain with us for the final two rounds is fantastic. He’s fitted into the team extremely well, and having another weekend together means we can continue building on the progress we made at Assen.
“The aim at Donington is simply to put together a strong weekend. We want to keep progressing the Honda, give both riders the best package we can and finish the season on a positive note. It’s our home round, so we’ll be giving it everything we have.
“We’ve also got our 2027 Ducati V4 S out on track this weekend with Matt at the helm, and we’re excited to see how it will perform because after Assen we’re extremely pleased with how our relationship with Ducati has begun.
