TAG Racing Honda heads into the eighth round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship this Bank Holiday weekend with the team determined to make its mark at one of the most iconic circuits on the British calendar.
Cadwell Park welcomes the ZYN British Superbike Championship from 29–31 August, with the Lincolnshire circuit set to provide the latest test for TAG Racing Honda’s Charlie Nesbitt and Fraser Rogers aboard their Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblades, with Matt Truelove and Jaimie Van Sikkelerus excited to tackle the Lincolnshire circuit in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.
Charlie Nesbitt enters the weekend looking to continue the progress made throughout his first season with TAG Racing Honda. The 24-year-old joined the team for 2026 after establishing himself as a proven Superbike front-runner, and following on his best results of the season at Thruxton, he is aiming to continue that form this weekend.
Alongside him, Fraser Rogers returns to a circuit where he will be looking to draw on his experience with the team and deliver another strong performance. Rogers remains an important part of TAG Racing Honda’s continued development and comes into the weekend determined to put the Honda firmly into contention.
Matt Truelove heads to his home round in a confident mood after also collecting his best result of the year at Thruxton, bringing home second place in an enthralling encounter. He sits firmly within the Superstock title battle, and hopes to add to his Championship tally this weekend.
Likewise, Van Sikkelerus is in a confident mood as he heads to one of his favourite tracks on the calendar. The Dutchman has continued to improve his fitness after a winter training injury. Jaimie enjoyed a positive test at the Lincolnshire venue recently and is in a good place ahead of the Bank Holiday bonanza.
With the famous atmosphere guaranteed, and thousands of fans expected at the Lincolnshire Wolds circuit, Cadwell Park promises to provide one of the standout weekends of the 2026 season.
Charlie Nesbitt: “Like Thruxton, Caldwell has treated me well in the past and I’ve enjoyed some really positive results there in my career, and hopefully that continues this weekend. We made a lot of progress at the last round and I feel we’re in a good place heading into Cadwell. The bike is feeling much better underneath me, and the team are working just as hard as me to ensure we keep the ball rolling as much as possible. Fingers crossed we can end the weekend on a high.”
Fraser Rogers: “We turned a little bit of a corner at Thruxton with the bike, we were able to battle and fight and that fills me with a lot of confidence heading into this weekend. Cadwell is a challenge, but a good one for me, I like the track and I’ve enjoyed some good results here in the past. I want to bring home some solid points across the weekend to make sure we keep the momentum building.”
Matt Truelove: “I’m really excited for this weekend, Cadwell Park is my home round which brings another level of pressure, but I can’t wait for it. After Thruxton I know we’ll be in the fight for at least the podium this weekend. In 2025 we raced well there, it was probably one of our best weekend of the season, and hopefully it’ll be the same this year. I love Cadwell, it’s a special place for me and I can’t wait to get started on Saturday and ensure we’re in the battle for the win.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “I’m really looking forward to racing at Cadwell Park. It’s a track I really enjoying riding and racing around, especially with the jump. All of this makes me happy heading into the weekend, I can’t wait to get going and hopefully we can be fighting for some good results.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “We’re heading into this weekend with a good amount of confidence and optimism after Thruxton, we left there with our best results of the seasons and our aim to continue that form as we head to Cadwell Park.
“It’s one of the most unique events on the calendar, it has everything to test the riders, it’s fast and flowing, tight and twisty, and of course it has the Mountain. Over the years the Fireblade has performed reasonably well there, and hopefully that continues this weekend.
“Charlie and Fraser are confident, they head into the weekend on the back of what happened at Thruxton and we do feel that we’re good place to achieve some solid results at Cadwell. Matt wants to win, and that is clear to see, it’s his home round and we’ll be doing everything we to ensure that happens. Jaimie is in a good place, he’s getting back to a good level of fitness and is also ready to fight for some solid results this weekend.”
