TAG Racing Honda heads to Thruxton this weekend for the latest round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, with the team targeting another strong weekend of racing at one of the fastest and most demanding circuits on the British calendar.
The Thruxton circuit will provide a unique challenge for the TAG Racing Honda squad, with the Hampshire track renowned for its high-speed nature, flowing corners and limited opportunities for error. With speeds approaching 200mph, the weekend promises to be one of the most spectacular rounds of the 2026 championship.
For the TAG Racing Honda Superbike squad, Fraser Rogers and Charlie Nesbitt will be looking to convert the team’s hard work and continued development of the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade into strong qualifying performances, and more valuable championship points.
Rogers returns to Thruxton determined to build on his progress throughout the season. The Gloucestershire rider has endured a tricky 2026 season, but is confident of achieving strong results at his home circuit following on a breakthrough in set-up at Oulton Park.
Nesbitt, meanwhile, continues his first season with TAG Racing Honda having joined the team for 2026. The talented Superbike rider brings previous British Championship success at Thruxton, and will be looking to make further progress as he continues to develop his relationship with the team and Honda machinery.
In the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, TAG Racing Honda will once again field Jaimie Van Sikkelerus and Matt Truelove, with both riders heading to Thruxton with plenty of confidence.
The Superstock campaign has already produced some impressive performances for TAG Racing this season. Truelove has demonstrated front-running pace, including a podium at Donington Park, while Jaimie has shown strong speed last time out at Oulton Park, following successful metal work removal surgery from his knee.
With the championship battle continuing to intensify, the team will be targeting strong qualifying positions before fighting for podiums and championship points across the weekend.
Charlie Nesbitt: “I’ve enjoyed a lot of success at Thruxton in the past, I had podiums in the superbike class here and I want to be able to be challenging again for that this weekend. It’s my home track, I always get a lot of support there and I love the challenge it provides. I want to repay the team for their support shown in me this year, and three solid results across the weekend is in my sights.”
Fraser Rogers: “I’m excited to head to Thruxton, it’s my home circuit, I have plenty of support over the weekend and it’s a great place to ride a superbike around. It’s true that we have been struggling this season, but I feel at Oulton Park we made a breakthrough, and I feel we’ll be closer to the top eight this weekend. I want to be fighting for the top Honda spot, that to me is a realistic target and something I’d like to achieve across the weekend.”
Matt Truelove: “This weekend is important for us if we want to stay in the fight for the Championship, we can’t afford to make any mistakes and I want to be battling for the win. Thruxton is a challenging circuit, but it suits the Fireblade well and I feel we’ll be in the mix come qualifying and race day.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “I’m looking forward to Thruxton, it’s not one of my favourite tracks but after Oulton Park I’ve worked very hard with my physiotherapist at the gym, and it looks like we made a big step physically and I want to show that result on track and be battling hard all weekend long.”
Team Manager Gary Winfield said: “Thruxton is always a big weekend for the team. It is such a fast circuit and one where you really have to commit to get the best from the bike. We have put a lot of work in since the last round and everyone is determined to have a strong weekend. The Superbike riders have both been working hard and we’re looking for another step forward with Fraser and Charlie.
“The Superstock boys have shown some really good pace this year, so we’re confident that Jaimie and Matt can be right in the mix again. We know the level of competition is extremely high, but the goal is to fight at the front in both classes.”
