TAG Honda and riders Fraser Rogers, Jaimie van Sikkelerus, Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield are all set for the start of the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike season, remaining mostly unchanged from their 2024 line-up. As the championship fires into action at Oulton Park for round one the team welcomes van Sikkelerus back for his second season with the team but his first ‘Rookie’ year on board the full Superbike, Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR-R SP following on from the Pathway Superbike last season.
The team will head to the 2.6 mile-circuit in Cheshire for the May Bank Holiday weekend, keen to get a solid start to its 2025 campaign developing on it’s earlier success from 2024 before injury-woes affected both the Superbike riders.
Following the pre-season testing programme for the team, Rogers returns with renewed ambitions for top 10 results, whilst van Sikkelerus adapted progressively and consistently to the power and handling of the full Superbike; noticeably improving his lap times, session after session.
Returning for 2025, Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield will be chasing podium finishes in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship. Both riders finished the earlier season their highest yet, 7th and 9th respectively. Embarking on the new season with a years worth of valuable data behind them provides a confidence that the results will come sooner.
Gary Winfield, Team Manager said, “I’m delighted that we are able to start the new season running the same four riders across the two Championships. We still have some work to do as Fraser Rogers wasn’t able to fully compete due to his accident whereas with Jaimie he is adapting to the full Superbike from the Pathway machine; we know that there is still some way to go to truly maximise the full potential of the bikes with the riders. Superstock has undergone some technical amendments from the Series, however both Matt and Shaun seem to have responded well during pre-season testing and we are looking forward to what is to come this season.”
