Putting the Fire into Fireblade during the Snetterton heatwave, TAG Honda scooped up the points for Round 3 of the British Superbike Championship.
Jaimie van Sikkelerus, making his full superbike debut, produced his season best results at Snetterton 300 as he made his way on to the BSB points table.
Three strong rides saw him over the finish line in 15th, 18th and 16th during a glorious weekend at the Norfolk circuit.
Fraser Rogers took a combined 13 points over the weekend to see him back within the top 15 Superbike Championship standings after qualifying straight through to Q2 in the Bandero Cafe Shootout ahead of race one; his first top 12 automatic qualifier since mid-2024.
“After a little season break, I felt very ready to race at Snetterton this weekend. I tested really well last season, but due to the training incident later that week I never got the opportunity to race here last year, so I knew I was really going to give it all I could to make the most this time around.”
“The championship is even more competitive this year, everyone has stepped up a gear. I am digging in deep to keep the Honda fighting at the sharp end and I know there’s more to build on as the season goes on.”
Superstock teammates Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield had a slightly more challenging weekend with delays and disruptions. Qualifying on Saturday ran a little behind and was cut short by over 3 minutes due to a red-flag incident. Accepting reasonable grid positions of 7th for Truelove and 13th for Winfield, the beginning of the one race for the Pirelli National Superstock class was halted due to another red-flag incident on the warm-up lap. Returning to the garages, the race was reduced from 12 laps to 10 following a quick-start procedure. Positively for both racers, Truelove finished in 5th and Winfield returning back to a top 10 finish.
Reflecting on the weekend’s racing, TAG Honda team manager Gary Winfield said:
“We’re really pleased with the progress all the lads have made over the weekend. The technical feedback on the machines showed we are still heading in the right direction and the team are working really well to ensure that we are constantly developing.
“A consistent point-scoring weekend, all racers finishing strong across all races is a great boost of confidence for everyone involved and we are looking forward to taking the team-spirit to Scotland next weekend.”
