TAG Racing Honda are ready to launch as they make their way to Lincolnshire for round seven of the 2025 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at the annual ‘Party in the Park’ at the famous Cadwell Park circuit.
Following on from a difficult ending to a positive weekend last time out at Thruxton, where all four riders suffered a host of DNF’s and were thwarted by bad luck, the team head to Lincolnshire full of confidence and aiming to get their campaign back on track.
Fraser Rogers and Jaimie Van Sikkelerus, the teams’ Superbike pairing, head to the 2.1-mile undulating venue ready to challenge for solid points. The pair endured a frustrating three races in Hampshire, only collecting just one point across the weekend, however, they are now looking for a change of fortunes in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside.
On the opposite side of the garage, both Matt Truelove and Shaun Winfield are looking to continue their strong run of form, as they look to narrow down the points gap to the National Superstock Championship leaders.
With ‘Truey’ sat in sixth and Winfield tenth in the standings, the pair have a fantastic opportunity to put themselves in a stronger position, with the season heading towards crunch time. As opposed to the previous two events, there will be just one race throughout the weekend for the duo which is set to take place on Sunday afternoon.
Cadwell Park is a true fans favourite circuit, its natural amphitheatre feel provides an incredible atmosphere which plays hosts to some of the best racing that the Bennetts British Superbike Championship has to offer. It’s also the only short circuit in the UK where devoted fans see fully blown Superbikes airborne, courtesy of the world famous ‘Mountain’ section.
Fraser Rogers: “I’m really looking forward to getting back on the bike this weekend, I left Thruxton so frustrated because I felt we were in a good position, we just didn’t have luck on our side. Last year at Cadwell I wasn’t fully fit, it was so physical and I really struggled, so I’m excited to get there this weekend and show what I can do.
“The team have some good data to start from, and we want to be fighting up the sharp end come race day on Monday. The atmosphere is always fantastic at Cadwell and I’m ready to give it my all for the team.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “Cadwell Park is a unique track and I always loved to jump the mountain on my 600. With the Supersport bike we have made it to podium at there which gives confidence. I have never made laps there on a 1000cc, so it won’t be an easy weekend and I need to understand how to change my riding style to the Superbike on this track, but my aim to enjoy it and chip away through the whole weekend. I’m very excited to get started and the fans makes it a special place as well.”
Matt Truelove: “We head to Cadwell in good form to be honest, we’ve had some great results so far this season and I’m looking to continue that this weekend. I love it at Cadwell, it’s my home race, I have a lot of family and friends who come to cheer me on and I want to give them something to shout about. We’re not too far away from the podium, it’s within our reach and I feel we’ll be in the fight come race day, that’s exactly where we should be.”
Shaun Winfield: “I’m heading to Cadwell full of confidence to be honest, the past couple of rounds have been fairly strong for me and I’m getting closer and closer to that leading group. It’s always been a one of my favourite tracks, it has everything to really test you and it’s a place I look forward to racing at. I feel with the progress we’ve made recently I can have a strong weekend and be challenging up the sharp end.”
Team Manager Gary Winfield: “Cadwell Park always proves to be a tough test for everyone on the BSB grid, it’s such a unique circuit and you need to find a good set-up quickly, so I’m confident that with the past data we have that we’re in a good position as we head in to the weekend. It’s an event we look forward to each year, and all of our riders are excited by the test it’ll provide.”
