OPPORTUNITY ‘KNOCK’ED FOR ROGERS!

ALL THE HIGHS IN THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND

Round four of the 2025 BSB season took the Championship to Scotland. For some, notorious-Knockhill stands true to it’s name but for Fraser Rogers, it was game-on!

The weekend got off to a good start, with Fraser Rogers qualifying straight into Q2 with a P14 grid position ahead of race one. Matt Truelove grafted with a really strong first race for the Pirelli National Superstock, starting in 11th to finish in 8th whilst Shaun Winfield had a great qualifying session to start the race in 7th however arm-pump took a hold meaning his race finish slipped outside of the top 10. Placing themselves in seventh and eighth respectively for race two, both Stockers finished within the top 10 with Truelove narrowly chasing down the fourth spot in the Championship’s current standings.

Superbike race one saw a gripping battle between Rogers and Danny Kent to the very end, with Rogers holding on to the end to finish 11th whilst van Sikkelerus suffered a technical issue with braking, resulting in a DNF this time. The team got to work on the feedback both riders returned to the garages with in preparation for Sunday’s racing.

The final day kicked-off a huge pit-walk presence attended by fans and spectators despite the torrential conditions. The team took a huge morale boost from this and were ready to go! Top performances from both riders followed, with Rogers finishing 6th – matching his best result and van Sikkelerus in 22nd with more valuable feedback for the team on the bike.

All eyes were on Rogers as he lined up in 5th on the grid for race three. The conditions were sent to test even the most veteran of riders, with a red flag early on due to standing water, a race re-start following quick-start procedures, only to be stopped again due to a red-flag single bike crash leaving contamination. Rogers and van Sikkelerus had to line up again for the third time to the grid, this time from their last lap positions. Fourth on the grid, all eyes (and cameras) were on Rogers who successfully claimed his first ever British Superbike Podium in third after a momentous battle between the two AJN Steelstock Kawasaki’s!

A very emotional team response as the team’s return to the podium since 2019 and the first ever Superbike podium for the team as TAG Honda!

Gary Winfield, Team Manager said, “It might sound really cliche, but this has been a long-time coming. Everyone knows the public battle that Fraser had from his training accident and through his recovery, but we often get to see and hear a very different man in the garage. His passion and determination to succeed is in abundance, every result is deeply personal. Battling against the Yamaha’s and Ducati’s, we know how much harder the Honda has to work. Fraser has been pivotal in it’s development, gaining a better understanding with the team to work with him where we are now down to working with only very small changes. We are experiencing some real progress this season with the Superstock and Superbikes, with silverware and first Superbike points on the board for Jaimie only 4 Rounds in. I’m extremely proud of the team and really look forward to the future we are creating.”

The team will be back on track at Brands Hatch for round five of the 2025 BSB on the 25th to the 27th of July.
