Following a four-week break from ZYN BSB action, TAG Racing Honda head north to Scotland and the Knockhill Racing Circuit, where the squad aims to replicate its success from previous years at the Fife venue with five races across the weekend.
The Highland venue is a happy hunting ground for the Swadlincote-based TAG Racing Honda squad, which has taken two podiums in two seasons with Fraser Rogers and Matt Truelove, and has its sights set on more of the same as it returns to Scotland this weekend (June 19–21).
After the disappointment at Donington Park, where Charlie Nesbitt and Fraser Rogers failed to score points at the team’s home track, the duo are determined to avenge their challenging starts to the season. With Rogers’ previous success around the 1.2-mile circuit, and Nesbitt’s determination, the pair expect to be challenging at the front in all three races over the weekend.
After being declared unfit following his heavy crash in race three at Donington Park, ‘Spud’ must complete a medical assessment at the circuit on Thursday. However, he is confident of being passed fit to ride.
Likewise, Jaimie Van Sikkelerus will return to action this weekend at Knockhill after choosing to sit out round two at Donington Park due to his leg injury. The Dutchman has enjoyed four weeks of rehabilitation and is confident of achieving positive results in Scotland in the National Superstock Championship.
Matt Truelove currently sits third in the championship standings, just 14 points behind leader David Allingham. The Lincolnshire rider has two races across the weekend to claw back the deficit and, after tasting podium success in Scotland two years ago, is expecting much more of the same this weekend.
Charlie Nesbitt: “It’s fair to say the start of the season hasn’t been what we all expected, especially after the positive pre-season we had, but the four-week break has helped me regroup and reset ahead of the remaining rounds. After my crash in race three at Donington Park, I feel much better. I have to pass a medical on Thursday, but I know that is possible. I like Knockhill; it’s a testing circuit, but after what the team did here last year, I have lots of confidence that we can achieve good things this weekend.”
Fraser Rogers: “After the disappointment we had at Donington Park, it would have been nice to get back out on track sooner, but I’ve enjoyed the four-week break. I’ve had a holiday with my family and fully hit the reset button. Knockhill holds special memories for me; it’s the venue of my maiden BSB podium and I really enjoy going there. We’ve got work to do, there is no doubt about that, but we’re determined as a team to get closer to the front, and there is no better time than this weekend to do that.”
Matt Truelove: “I’m really excited to get back racing this weekend. Four weeks has felt like a long time, but I’ve kept myself up to speed by riding and doing as much as possible. We’ve made a strong start to the season, and being on the podium at Donington has given us a lot of confidence heading into this weekend. I have good memories of racing in Scotland; we were on the podium in 2024 and want to try and replicate that this weekend while staying in the title fight.”
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “I have enjoyed a solid break from action after missing the race weekend at Donington Park. In truth, it was the correct decision to pull out of the weekend at the last round, but I’m feeling good heading to Knockhill. I’ve completed some good rehabilitation, I feel good, and I’m excited to get back out on track in Scotland.”
Team Manager Gary Winfield: “We’re ready and raring to go this weekend at Knockhill. It’s been a happy hunting ground for us in recent years; Matt secured a podium in 2024 and Fraser collected his maiden BSB podium in 2025, so we head back there with good memories.
“The opening two rounds haven’t treated us kindly. It’s no secret that we’re struggling with our package in Superbike at the moment; however, we’ve worked hard over the break to improve what we have and kick-start our year. Both Charlie and Fraser are refreshed, we’ve discussed the situation, and they’re ready to knuckle down and give it their all.
“Matt and Jaimie are equally ready to go racing. Matt is in a good position in the championship and has his eyes set on closing the gap to the leader. Jaimie has enjoyed a good break and has improved his fitness to a level where he, and we believe, can enjoy a positive weekend on track.”
