TAG Racing Honda and Dutchman Jaimie Van Sikkelerus will team up for a third consecutive year after reaching an agreement which will see him challenge for the 2026 Pirelli National Superstock Championship title.
The 27-year-old from Akersloot in the Netherlands joined the TAG Racing team in 2024 and competed for two seasons in the blue-ribband Superbike class, producing a best result of seventh during his home round race at Assen in 2025.
‘JVS’ has experienced a challenging time with injuries, having surgery to both his knees in the winter of 2024 and breaking his shoulder mid way through 2025, after the Dutchman was involved in an unavoidable accident, which then played havoc with his second half of the season.
Having now fully recovered, he will contest the 2026 Pirelli National Superstock Championship onboard the teams’ Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP, and he is setting his sights on returning to form and getting back to winning ways.
Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “I am happy to announce that I’m staying in the BSB paddock. I love the Championship and it’s an honour to do that with the TAG Honda team in Superstock 1000. TAG Racing are family to me and we are all driven in the same direction, achieving the best results possible.
“My time in Superbike wasn’t easy with more downs than ups physically. I am feeling much stronger post-op, throughout my rehabilitation and training I am ready to take on the Superstock Fireblade, which will be the best option for me for 2026.
“The Stock 1000 class is highly competitive, I am determined to work hard towards our goal within the team to fight in the top. I really want to thank all my great sponsors and fans who gave their support this year! I cannot wait to start this next adventure with them all.”
Team manager Gary Winfield: “I’m delighted to be welcoming Jaimie back to the team for a third season, he’s been a real pleasure to work with, he fits in with our family ethos extremely well. It’s safe to say that 2025 was a challenging year for him, especially with the injury that he sustained to his shoulder. But he showed true grit, he never gave in, and to get his best result at his home round at Assen showed exactly what he is made of.
“We feel that moving him to the Superstock side of the team will be a good move for everyone, especially Jaimie. We want to get his confidence back, we know the quality that he possess and I truly believe he can shine in Superstock.
“We have a clear and concise testing program to ensure that he is up to speed ahead of the start of the year, and as always we’ll be leaving no stone unturned. We can’t wait to see Jaimie back up the front where he belongs.”
