The teams home round at Donington park got underway with the Superstock lads taking to the track for free practice; both landing in the top 20 but short of where the team knew they can be with Matt Truelove in P10 and Shaun Winfield in P17.
The two Superbikes also made the most of free practice on the Friday landing in p17 for Fraser Rodger’s and P21 for Jamie as he gets to grips with the full Superbike.
P8 and P17 for Matt and Shaun on the stockers in qualifying, led them into a fight for points during the one and only Superstock race at Donington park. After 15 racing laps, Truelove secured a P7 finish and p13 for Shaun, some season starting points on the board.
Matt had a great race matching his fastest laps round Donington on the TAG Fireblade, whilst Shaun learned to get to grips with his new thumb-brake setup from Racetorx.
Meanwhile in Superbike race 1, not quite the race we, nor the racers wanted with Jamie having a huge moment and it looking like it may have been all over, he got dug in and fought back to P17. Fraser really dug deep and brought the bike back to P13.
The Sprint took Fraser to a brilliant P13 finish, despite an over-cooked rear brake and avoiding some carriage on the opening laps. Jamie unfortunately took a tumble at the old hairpin, despite some bumps and bruises he was ‘A-okay’.
The third and final race at Donington Park was a tale of struggles and determination. Jamie unfortunately had to retire the bike on lap 12. Fraser meanwhile held P13 for the majority of the race but the laps took their toll, and due to some tyre wear issues he dropped to 15th for the checkered flag but still secured the points.
