David Allingham Joins TAG Racing

David ‘DBomb’ Allingham has agreed a one-year deal with Swadlincote based TAG Racing Honda to contest the 2022 Pirelli National Superstock Championship on board the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.

26-year-old Allingham finished 22nd in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship standings in 2021 after suffering a challenging campaign, but the Eglinton based man now has his sights set on challenging for the title in 2022.

The former Supersport front runner has experience across many classes, including the blue-ribband Superbike class, which gives him vital experience as he heads in to his second season in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

David has already experienced the potential of the Fireblade, following on from a test in November at Oulton Park which he impressed the team with his maturity on, and off track.
first duties as a TAG Racing Honda rider will be meeting sponsors and fans at Motorcycle Live, Saturday December 11.

David Allingham“I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a deal with the TAG Racing Honda team for the 2022 Pirelli National Superstock campaign, they are a fantastic and professional outfit and I’m really excited to get going.
“Last year was a tough season for me but I feel I showed glimpses of what I can do, I feel with the right package and a solid crew behind me I can be running up the front and challenging for race wins.
“I must say a massive thank you to Rob, Tracy and Gary for giving me this opportunity, it’s a massive chance for me and I can’t wait to give it my all and challenge at the front. I have to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me and that continues to do so, bring on 2022.”

Team manager Gary Winfield“We’re really pleased to welcome David to the team, he’s shown a lot of passion for our project and he’s focussed on producing a strong season. From our initial meetings he was very knowledgeable and was clearly ambitious, which matches our values.

“He’s ridden the bike already at Oulton Park and he impressed me with how he tackled the test, he took his time and built into what we asked from him, and most importantly he felt comfortable from the first laps.

“He’s had plenty of success in superbike, supersport and the National Superstock championships so we’re expecting a strong campaign from him. We also feel it will be good for Shaun to have a team-mate, they’ll push each other on and that will be fantastic for both riders.”
