TAG RACING SET FOR LAST DANCE OF 2026 AT BRANDS HATCH

TAG Racing Honda heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the final round of the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship, determined to end a challenging season on a high.

TAG Racing Honda will bring its 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship campaign to a close this weekend, 16–18 October, as the team heads to Brands Hatch for the final round of the season.

The Swadlincote-based outfit will be looking to finish the year strongly at the Kent circuit, with three final races providing one last opportunity to turn hard work and determination into results before attention turns to the winter break.

The team endured a difficult home round at Donington Park last time out, with a combination of technical issues and misfortune hampering Fraser Rogers’ progress. Despite the setbacks, Scott Swann battled hard throughout the weekend and secured a points-scoring finish in the final race, providing a positive platform on which to build heading into the season finale.

Rogers will be determined to put the frustrations of Donington behind him and reward the team’s continued efforts with a strong performance at Brands Hatch. The Gloucestershire rider has worked closely with his crew throughout the latter stages of the season, and the final round offers another opportunity to demonstrate the potential of the package.

Swann, meanwhile, will be aiming to continue the progress made since joining the team for the closing rounds of the championship. The Northern Irishman showed encouraging signs of improvement at Donington, finishing 14th in the final race after a determined battle, and will be looking to carry that momentum into the final three races of the year.

Alongside the Superbike action, TAG Racing will also be represented in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, with Jaimie Van Sikkelerus and Matt Truelove aiming to finish their respective campaigns on a positive note, subject to final rider fitness and entry confirmation.

Van Sikkelerus arrives at Brands Hatch following a consistent weekend at Donington Park, where he secured a pair of 12th-place finishes. The Dutch rider will be looking to build on that performance and challenge closer to the top ten, while Truelove will be hoping to return to full fitness following the shoulder injury that curtailed his most recent outing.

Truelove will once again contest the team’s 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S, aiming to gather valuable data ahead of the team’s switch to the Italian manufacturer for the 2027 season.

Fraser Rogers: “I can’t believe it’s the final round already. The season has flown by and, even though it hasn’t been what we expected or hoped for, we’re ready to give it our all and try to round out the year on a high. Brands Hatch is one of my favourite tracks. We’ve performed well here in the past, and I have a good feeling ahead of this weekend. I want to repay the team for the faith and belief they’ve shown in me, because their hard work has always been fantastic.”

Scott Swann: “It’s the last round of the season, and what a mental season it’s been for me! There have been plenty of ups and downs, as there always are. Being able to get back into the Superbike class has been fantastic. Going into the weekend, I can’t believe it’s the final round. I’m very excited to get going, and I’ll be giving it my all and doing the best I can to leave with results I can be satisfied with and something that will set me up for 2027.

“I can’t wait to get back into the paddock; that’s my happy place. I can’t wait to see the team and get back to work with them. It’s been the best ending to the year I could have asked for, and hopefully we can achieve good things together this weekend.”

Matt Truelove: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend. We’re still fighting for third in the series, and although it’s a big ask, we can still do it. I’ll be doing all I can to make it a possibility. We’re back out on my 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S as well, so it’s important that we gather as much data as possible ahead of 2027, while also focusing on the task at hand this weekend. I’ve recovered well over the last ten days, I’m feeling good, and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got.”

Jaimie Van Sikkelerus: “This season has gone unbelievably quickly, and this is our last round at Brands Hatch. I’ll give it my all one last time. We had bad luck at Brands Hatch earlier in the season, but we’re looking to turn that around this time and finish the season on a positive note, knowing that I’m capable of making big steps forward.”

Team Manager Gary Winfield: “As a team, we’re really excited about heading to Brands Hatch for the final round of 2026. We want to round off the season as strongly as we can, which will give us all a boost of confidence heading into 2027.

“Fraser and Scott are both confident. It’s one of their favourite circuits on the calendar and, given that it’s October and the final round, we all know that anything can happen. Matt and Jaimie are equally keen to round off the year on a high. We’ll be assessing Matt throughout the weekend following his recovery from a shoulder injury. However, he’s feeling good, and fingers crossed he can complete the full weekend and gather more data for our 2027 Ducati V4 S.”
