Dan Linfoot to contest 42nd Suzuka eight-hour
Santander Salt TAG Racing’s Dan Linfoot will take part in the 42nd Suzuka eight-hour endurance race for MotoMap S.W.A.T (Suzuki Waters Aoki Team Australia) on July 28.
Linfoot, who is currently out in Japan testing the Suzuki GSXR-1000 at the Suzuka circuit, will fly out for the event following the fifth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton to contest the gruelling event, with former BSB racer Josh Waters and household name Nobu Aoki as team mates.
The trio have their sights set on taking victory in the superstock class, which the team have entered thanks to valued support from MotoMap and Suzuki Australia, after a strong showing in 2018 where they claimed fourth place in class after qualifying third fastest stock machine.
Dan Linfoot said: “I am very happy to be joining MotoMap S.W.A.T. for the 2019 Suzuka eight-hour race, after experiencing this event for the last two years I am really looking forward to returning and teaming up with Nobu and Josh for the race.
“I would like to thank everyone who is involved for the opportunity to join them and I am very excited.”
Linfoot will soon return to the UK before jumping on a plane again to travel to Knockhill for a Bennetts British Championship test, where the team aim to overcome the issues that plagued both Dan and Shaun Winfield at Donington Park.
