James Ellison and Shaun Winfield are out to end a difficult 2018 in style at the Brands Hatch GP circuit onboard their Anvil Hire TAG Racing machine’s, with Ellison aiming to collect silverware from all three races, with Shaun looking to add to his points tally.

The 2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship comes to an end this weekend at Kent’s Brands Hatch GP circuit, with James Ellison fully focussed on rounding out a challenging season by collecting silverware with Shaun Winfield aiming to add to his Championship points tally.

Last year saw James collect two podiums at the final round, securing two third places after fighting hard for the victory in all three races.

The former MotoGP man has now found a much-improved feeling onboard his machine and is expecting to collect more silverware to end 2018 in style as he celebrates his 250thBSB race on Sunday afternoon.

Team mate Shaun Winfield has recovered well from a bruising weekend in the North of Holland, and has set his sights on ending 2018 in the points.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed his best season in Bennetts British Superbikes, collecting three points, but is fully expecting to add to his Championship tally at his favourite circuit on the calendar.

James Ellison: “We have one aim this weekend and that is to end the season on a high, podiums are what I always expect, and I’m expecting that this weekend. Brands is great circuit, one of which I’ve had much success at before, and with the improved feeling we found at Assen, I know I can repeat that this weekend and be back at the front challenging for the win.

“This year has been difficult and as team we haven’t achieved the results I expect, or the team employed me to collect. The changes we have made have helped in such a positive way, and with the undulations that the Brands Hatch GP circuit provides I know we can be a pest all weekend to those battling for the title.

Shaun Winfield: “I can’t wait to get out racing this weekend, Assen was tough for us, we headed into the weekend with new suspension and it took us time to get that dialled in, but we now have some good data to start from at Brands Hatch.

“Brands is a great track for me, it has everything you want as a rider, the fast and flowing section is fantastic, and it really suits our bike. I want to end this year in style, I’ve had my best year to date, and that is thanks to Chris and my guys.

“Their effort this year hasn’t gone unnoticed and I want to thank them by bring home points from all three races.”

Team manager Gary Winfield: “We’re excited to get back racing this weekend, and we want to end this season in style. It’s has been a troublesome year but at the last round we found something we’d been missing all year, and it showed with how James rode in both races.

“We are expecting more of the same this same from James this weekend, he and we want to round out this year with silverware and Shaun wants to be in the points, and it’s the least we can expect and it’s all for our sponsors who have stuck by us through thick and thin.”
