TAG Racing agree further one-year title sponsorship deal with Anvil Hire Limited
Swadlincote based TAG Racing are delighted to announce their one-year contract extension with Burton Upon Trent based plant hire firm Anvil Hire Limited for the 2018 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, along with an updated livery for the upcoming season
Following the success of 2017, where the Anvil Hire TAG Racing outfit almost achieved the ‘impossible’ by collecting the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, eventually finishing second by a mere three points, it’s been agreed that Anvil Hire Limited will continue as title sponsors for a fifth consecutive year.
As one of the UK’s leading plant hire firms, who deal with equipment from JCB excavators to wood chippers, Anvil Hire have enjoyed great success with TAG Racing, increasing their brand awareness with many victories and podiums, and are excited for another fantastic season with the family run outfit.
The team are also overjoyed to launch the 2018 racing livery. Slight changes have been made to make the bike more noticeable while on track to supporters, whilst keeping the stunning and retro yellow colours that have proved to be so popular.
John Chambers of Anvil Hire Limited said following the extension: “I’m proud to say Anvil Hire will once again be the title sponsors of the TAG Racing team in 2018. Last year was a brilliant year for us as a company, and the results the team produced heightened our success.
“The team has proved already they are ready to kick on in 2018, and we have no doubt they will once again be up there fighting for the Championship with James. Shaun improved vastly last year, and with the help of Chris Walker he’ll be higher in the standings come the end of the season we’re sure.
“We’re excited to see what 2018 will bring, and if last year is something to go by we’re sure it’s going to be a great one.”
A delighted Team Owner Rob Winfield added: “We’re delighted to welcome back our great friends and partners from Anvil Hire once again for 2018 as title sponsors. As a team we’ve enjoyed four fantastic seasons with them, culminating in almost winning the Championship for them in 2017.
“2018 is again a big year for us, it’s important that we kick on from our success last season. We’ll keep our feet firmly on the ground, go about our work quietly and continue to impress. Who knows, the small team from Swadlincote may just throw in another surprise once again.”
The team are now ready to conclude their winter testing programme with a one day test at Donington Park, tomorrow, Wednesday March 14, before heading back a week later for the Official Bennetts British Superbike Championship test on Tuesday March 20.
